Chapter 9: Chapter 12: Prompts

1: First Sight

Please write a Smurf fanfic with this plot:

Papa/Alchemist Smurf and Mama/Warrior Smurf are having a Valentine's Day dinner. As they gaze into each other's eyes, the elderly Smurfs remember how they first met.

Years ago, when Alchemist was young, he went out into the woods to find potion ingredients. He went very far, only to be attacked by a cat. He was saved by a female Smurf that had been training nearby, Warrior. As Warrior fought off the cat with her spear, Alchemist looked on in wonder. She was the fiercest Smurf he'd ever seen, fire and passion and beauty.

Warrior scared off the cat, but she got badly hurt. Alchemist used some of his potions to treat her wounds, talking as he bandaged her up. As Alchemist healed her, Warrior looked on in wonder. He was the sweetest Smurf she'd ever met, light and kindness and wisdom.

Alchemist helped the injured Warrior get back to the village, the two laughing as they struggled home. The two have been inseparable ever since.

2: Flower Crowns

Can you please write a Smurf fanfic with the following plot:

Hefty and Smurfette have started dating. Valentine's Day is coming up. Hefty is stressed, trying to make sure that their first Valentine's Day together is absolutely perfect, obsessing over plans and classic things like chocolates/flowers/candlelit dinners.

Only for Smurfette to forget their date, having gotten caught up making flower crowns. Smurfette is apologetic and horrified to have forgotten their first Valentine's, but Hefty understands that she got distracted in one of her favorite hobbies and isn't mad at her. Hefty is disappointed, however, and still really wants to spend time with her.

So they spend the rest of the evening making flower crowns together. It's quiet, peaceful, and fun. They laugh and lean against each other as they sit and twist flower stems together. It might not be a classic sort of Valentine's, but it's special and theirs. Hefty's stress melts away as he spends a calm sort of date with the woman he loves.

(I see Hefty as a guy that's strong, loves to show off, and isn't always the brightest. But he's aswell protective, loving, and open.)

3: Somesmurf Special

Please write a Smurf fanfic with the following plot:

Clumsy comes to Brainy's house on Valentine's Day, with Brainy questioning why he's there. Clumsy says he wants to spend the day with him, making Brainy think that Clumsy is nervous about asking somesmurf out for a date.

Brainy offers to help Clumsy find a date, specifically mentioning that Clumsy's friend Firelily might be interested. Clumsy stops him from actually doing anything to help, saying he doesn't want to ask Firelily out.

Brainy admonishes what he perceives as a lack of self-esteem in Clumsy, not for the first time (Clumsy doesn't have low self-esteem, Brainy just often misinterprets Clumsy's willingness to be friends with and listen to Brainy as such, because Brainy himself secretly has low self esteem and doesn't realize it). Brainy promises to help Clumsy's be more confident, saying anysmurf in the village would be lucky to go out with Clumsy. He lists a few more Smurfs that Clumsy could ask out on a date.

Clumsy reiterates that he doesn't *want* to spend Valentine's Day with any of those Smurfs. Brainy asks what he does want to do, insisting he really wants to know, so Clumsy walks into Brainy's house and grabs one of Brainy's books (Brainy often makes books of his own sayings and ideas, believing them to be filled with wisdom. Everysmurf except Clumsy disagrees, thinking them to be arrogant nonsense). Clumsy says he's been having trouble reading the book due to all the big words, and says he wants to spend the day listening to Brainy read it out loud.

Brainy says he would love to read his books to Clumsy, but insists they could do it a different day, because surely Clumsy would rather spend the holiday of love with somesmurf special. Clumsy replies that he *does* want to spend the day with somesmurf special; Brainy!

Finally beginning to understand that Clumsy is trying to ask him to be his Valentine, Brainy spends the rest of the day reading his books out loud to an overjoyed Clumsy.

(Remember that Clumsy speaks with a southern accent, is very clumsy, and often says things like 'gosh', 'gee', or 'golly'. Brainy uses a lot of big words and wears glasses.)

4: Flustered

Please write a Smurf fanfic with this plot:

Jokey Smurf and Magician Smurf are roommates.

Jokey is used to Magician acting fondly exasperated at his pranks and shenanigans, used to Magician keeping him in check even when providing Jokey with an alibi, used to Magician enduring and tolerating him. Used to Magician liking him just a little.

Jokey has a crush on Magician, so gives her a special Valentine's Day prank. He expects her to act annoyed and tell him off for it, but is hopeful she might like it. How he absolutely does not expect her to react is by flirting with him, but that's precisely what happens.

Magician flirts with him throughout the day, smoothly dropping different pick-up lines, leaving Jokey flustered and confused (so much so that he fumbles a few of his pranks, which backfire on him.). Jokey likes the attention from Magician, but is worried that it might not be real, that maybe she's just messing with him.

Eventually, Jokey gets the courage to start flirting back, the normally confident Smurf fumbling a bit as he tries to flirt. Magician laughs at his attempt, calling him silly, making Jokey angrily ask her if she's really interested in him or just messing with him. Magician tells him she likes it when he's silly, kissing his cheek and asking him out to dinner. Jokey, finally sure the flirting's legitimate, says yes.

(Remember that Jokey has a habit of laughing and giggling a lot, loves pranks and explosives, and is very energetic)

5: Unexpected

Please write a Smurf fanfic with the following plot:

Vanity is self-obsessed and Grouchy has said many times that he hates Valentine's Day, so nosmurf expects the couple to actually celebrate the holiday. Neither of them really expects the other to do anything special either.

When Vanity outright avoids him, Grouchy tries not to feel too bitter about it, going for a walk to cheer up (as much as the ever grumpy Smurf is capable of cheering up). He ends up finding a field of wildflowers that remind him of Vanity, and Grouchy decides to pick a few to give to the beauty-obsessed Vanity (Vanity likes wearing a flower behind one ear).

He returns to village with his small bouquet, giving it to Vanity with a quiet and grumpy (and somewhat shy) admission that he doesn't hate Vanity (Grouchy's way of saying he loves him). Vanity is overjoyed and hugs Grouchy, before surprising him with a gift of his own; the reason Vanity was avoiding him all day was because he commissioned Painter to make a special portrait of Vanity and Grouchy sitting on some clouds (Grouchy secretly loves clouds), and Vanity had to make sure Painter captured his beautiful features just right (even when giving a thoughtful gift, Vanity is still self obsessed).

Grouchy gives a very brief, small, soft smile — a sign he's very happy with the gift. Vanity kisses his cheek, and then starts rambling about his own beauty and which flower from Grouchy's bouquet he's going to wear first and how the weather is horrible today and–

Grouchy quietly listens with his usual frown, enjoying the other's presence and studying his new painting.

(My version of Vanity doesn't like eye contact, so he looks into his hand mirror at his own reflection even when speaking to someone, only occasionally glancing at them. He looks at Grouchy slightly more than most, but still doesn't like taking his gaze away from his mirror for too long. Grouchy tends to say he hates or dislikes just about anything and everything, even if he doesn't really, but avoids saying such about Vanity or Vanity's appearance).

6: Fortunate Mistakes

Please write a Smurf fanfic with the following plot:

Archeologist 'Archie' Smurf and Paleontologist 'Leo' Smurf spend Valentine's Day walking around the village, eating snacks as they go, and arguing about artifacts/fossils/etc.

Archie thinks it's a date. Leo is surprised when he says this, having thought they were having a day out as friends like they usually do. Archie's upset but tries to pretend he's not, saying it's fine if they're just friends.

Leo surprises him by kissing him and saying he'd love to be more. So the two go on an actual date, eating snacks as they walk through the village, arguing about their respective fields. It's a good day for both of them.

(Archie and Leo kinda have dad energy but aren't dads. They're just those two guys, always together and down to earth, quirky in their own way but not getting caught up in big adventures like most other Smurfs do.)

7: Serenade

Please write a Smurf fanfic with this plot:

Tailor Smurf creates a fancy pair of sunglasses for his boyfriend, Harmony Smurf, for Valentine's Day. Harmony is touched and announces that he will give Tailor a song in return.

The only problem is that Harmony is completely tone deaf, his music sounding absolutely terrible to everyone else than him. Tailor doesn't want to hurt his boyfriend's feelings by cringing away from his terrible music, so spends the rest of the day sewing a special pair of decorative-looking earmuffs that will block out the sound so he can pretend to enjoy the song.

That evening, Harmony surprises Tailor by conducting other Smurfs in a song rather than playing it himself. Harmony is great at conducting, and the song is absolutely beautiful, creating a lovely star-lit atmosphere. Harmony and Tailor have a lovely date, sharing in a kiss.

8: A Day Like Any Other

Please write a Smurf fanfic with this plot:

Painter and Poet have a picnic on a hill, starting early in the morning. They eat chocolate and berries, and Poet reads some poetry, mostly pondering out loud as he tries to write new poems (sometimes pausing or rewording something as he workshops it). Painter listens, complimenting and giving constructive criticism, as he sketches what he sees around him. When evening falls, Painter sets up his canvas and begins to paint the sunset, with Poet now the one to compliment and criticize Painter. They share a soft kiss when the painting is finished, quietly enjoying each other's presence.

It's a date like so many they've been on before, romantic but nothing special, despite the fact that it's Valentine's Day. It's a date where they enjoy their two loves; each other and their respective crafts (poetry and art). Despite not being anything big or out of the ordinary, it's perfect for them.

Painter has a French accent, and Poet always speaks in verse/rhymes (even when not reading/creating poetry). They are both passionate, overdramatic, and emotional. Painter calls Poet 'Poète' (the French word for 'Poet') and 'mon amour' (French term for 'my love').

9: Somesmurf Loves You

Please write a Smurf fanfic with the following plot:

Nosey writes articles for the village newspaper. Despite Editor telling her to take the day off and enjoy herself, Nosey's certain that she can get a big scoop on Valentine's Day. So she stalks around the village spying on other Smurfs, using up her whole day with work, trailed by her loyal assistant; Camera Smurf.

As Nosey becomes more obsessed and desperate to get a big story, Camera quietly supports her and keeps taking pictures throughout the day. Finally, Nosey gives up, lamenting that she's failed to find a story. Nosey bitterly adds that at least she didn't waste the day, as it's not like anysmurf would want to go out with the village's resident annoying gossip queen anyways (she's pretty much spent the day distracting herself from this disbelief with work). She sits on the ground and cries.

Camera sits next to her shows her the pictures he's taken throughout the day. He's spent the entire day taking pictures of her, passionate and in her element, beautiful and strong. He puts his arm around her and hugs her close, comforting her and showing her that there is indeed somesmurf who loves her.

(Camera isn't mute, but he doesn't talk much, usually just grunting or nodding/shaking his head. He's quiet and stoic, not emoting much, but loyal and caring and supportive towards Nosey. He carries a too-big camera on a strap around his neck, hence his name.)

10: Planning Ahead

Please write a Smurf fanfic with the following plot:

Flirty Smurf flirts in an over-the-top way, putting off any potential suitors (but never getting grabby or crossing any big lines, he's forward not bad). On the day before Valentine's Day, he tries to ask several Smurfs if they'd be his date, asking if they have any plans for the holiday, but his strong flirting makes them reject him

He asks Honey (a female beekeeping Smurf), Smurfette (female), Tailor (male), Hefty (male), Nosey (female), and Pilot (male). They all say no, some politely and some less so, leaving him alone on Valentine's Day.

On the holiday, Flirty shuts his windows, locks his door, and sits in front of his fireplace. There's a somber and forlorn air of rejection in the story... Right up until he pulls out a romance novel and snuggles under a blanket, spending a cozy Holiday reading by himself. Turns out his over-the-top flirting was just a tactic to make sure nosmurf would make him go out, and he could instead read in peace, not being bothered because everysmurf felt sorry for him.
