Appearance: Smaller than average height and build, with a face full of freckles. Green eyes. Slightly oversized white hat that always half-covers his eyes, white footsie pants, usually some bandages or patches.
Relatives: Farmer Smurf (older brother), Spelunker Smurf (older brother), Metal Smurf (older brother), Wooly Smurf (older brother), Mason Smurf (older brother), Distractible Smurf (younger brother)

Age Bracket: Young adult.
The first Smurf to ride a Firescale Dragonfly, he discovered that his normal clumsiness doesn't carry over to directing a Dragonfly and it actually gives him something of a leg up — he's already used to sharp turns, quick corrections, maneuvering in chaos, and even being upside down!
He's obsessed with rocks. He collects them, has a rock garden, and even knows most rocks' scientific names (though he can rarely pronounce them).
He speaks with a Southern accent, like most of his family. He falls over and hits into things a lot, hence his name, but never lets accident-prone nature keep him down.
One day he met a nerdy little Smurfling that used a bunch of big words he didn't understand and seemed a bit mean. But this Smurfling actually tried to explain things to Clumsy rather than assume he couldn't understand, and for that Clumsy decided he was his now.
Then the other actually listened when he rambled about rocks, and told him very good, Clumsy when he remembered something right, and read his own books out loud instead of mocking Clumsy's issues with making out the big words. And for that, Clumsy decided he was his forever.
I like when a character is allowed to be flawed.
Clumsy IS an idiot. He always will be. But he respects intelligence rather than resent it, and he always tries to understand even when he knows he probably won't be able to. And he never uses his lack of mental capability as an excuse to be cruel or reckless.
Clumsy has trouble grasping and retaining information, and that isn't a good or even neutral thing — it's a bad one. He's so curious and determined to learn that he'd probably be some level of genius if he was capable of it.
That's part of why he and Brainy work. Subconsciously or not, Brainy recognizes a kindred spirit in him. And it almost doesn't matter that Clumsy can't be a genius — he makes Brainy more determined to be less bluster and more actual intelligence, if only to learn more about Clumsy's own passions.
I tried to let Clumsy be an idiot, one that can become smart in some ways with hard work, but still someone who can never not be an idiot. And that's okay. It sucks, it makes his life harder, but it doesn't make him incapable. His flaws don't have to be erased to make his virtues count. And his own lack doesn't mean he can't appreciate what he has, or that he can't love others that can do what he can't.

He should make a city nearby! In-canon both the Grove and Village get destroyed, and a new one gets built...
Though we all know canon should be put in a box in our attic, covered in dust and spiderwebs, sometimes that old box can be taken out, to find a thing or two that might be useful! He could make a second (third) living area, since the Smurf population is growing. Maybe another town, or something, gets destroyed, and the occupants have to move to Smurf Village, so he makes a city for them!
